About
The Regional Modern Art Centre (CRAC) is located in a wing of the 17th-century Château de Tremblay, in Puisaye, west of Auxerre.
This centre, founded by the painter and poet Fernand Rolland and the sculptor Jean-Louis Vetter, has two permanent areas devoted to its founders, in which their works are displayed. A third area is devoted to M’An Jeanne, a former farm labourer who, at the age of 70, began to paint pastels that transport visitors to a world of fantasy.
Every season, there are also two temporary exhibitions at the Regional Modern Art Centre. From 28 March to 28 June 2020, the “Terre en vue” exhibition was held, showcasing the ceramics and enamels of Alain Gaudebert.
The Centre also organises educational activities for children, teenagers and adults.
There is an art library from which works can be borrowed.
