About

This park (51ha) was installed along the banks of the Yonne river in order to protect the harnessing of drinking water against any form of pollution. Built as in the older times, it’s a 3.7km walk trough woods, orchards, flowered prairies, lawns, a conservatory of Senonais grapevines and the second poplar tree plantation of France, as well as bee hives where honey from Sens is produced.
Since 2003, several campaigns have been launched to try to reintroduce a colony of snails, in order to study their evolution.
The park was laid out in such a way as to provide an area:
• For walks, jogging, bike riding (3.7 km circular path)
• Picnic tables and benches
• A 1.2 km sports course consisting of 12 workshops
• A 26 post golf practice area, putting green and bunkers.
