La boucle des Carrelottes

A loop nature trail of one and a half kilometer, accessible to walkers with good shoes, with a welcome sign and nine thematic desks, wil help you approach various aspects of the Natura 2000 site of Saint Martin-du-Tertre. You can discover the exceptional natural heritage of dry lawns on chalk, unique in Burgundy, as well as the history of this hill marked by human activity since several millenniums. During the periods of pasture, it will be also possible to see Highland Cattle cows there in charge of the maintenance of the lawns. While enjoying a fantastic view over Sens, its cathedral and the valley of the Yonne.
