Come to the Sénonais region

The Sénonais region is in the north of Burgundy, at the crossroads of the Seine et Marne, Aube and Loiret, in the French department of Yonne, meaning it can easily be accessed by car, train, plane and even boat! Once you’ve arrived, there are several different ways you can choose to get around the Sénonais region, and it’s easy to find parking.

By car

You can easily reach the Sénonais region by car as it is crossed by motorways A6 (towards Paris or Auxerre, Beaune, then Besançon or Lyon and Marseille), A5 (towards Troyes then Reims and Lille or Metz, Nancy and Strasbourg), and the A19 (towards Orléans then Bordeaux). Follow the signs:

 

  • On the A5: exit N°1 “Saint-Denis-les-Sens”
  • On the A6: exit N°17 “Courtenay”
  • On the A19: exit N°2 “Villeneuve-la-Dondagre”.

By rail

The Sénonais region is only 1 hour away from Paris! Regular trains (Regional Express Trains) leave from Sens train station to Paris Bercy (approximately 1 hour) and Paris Gare de Lyon (in 1.5 hours). To get to Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, it will take a further 20 minutes or a change in Sens.

Ticket office opening hours for the Sens Train Station – Place François Mitterrand: From Monday to Friday from 5am to 8pm / Saturdays: from 6am to 8pm / Sundays and public holidays: from 8am to 8pm.
At the Villeneuve-sur-Yonne train station (100 Avenue du 8 mai 1945), there are machines available to buy your regional tickets directly. For any other information about trains, come and see us at the Sens train station.

Once you’ve arrived at Sens or Villeneuve-sur-Yonne train station, you can get to the town centres in just 15 minutes on foot or less if you take a bus or taxi.

By boat

Right at the heart of the historical city centres of Sens and Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, the guest harbours offer recreational boaters a pleasant place to stop by, near all shops and amenities.  Some facilities are available on the docks: water, electricity, WiFi, bins…
